WILL CONSERVATORY COOLING FILM STOP
MY FURNITURE AND CARPETS FROM FADING?
Yes, conservatory cooling film blocks 99% of the sun's UV rays, which are the major cause of fading. Your furniture, carpets and curtains will be protected, providing an extended life for them.
WILL CONSERVATORY COOLING FILM MAKE MY CONSERVATORY DARK?
Conservatory cooling film adds a pleasant tint to your roof, in much the same way as tinted glass or polycarbonate. The only difference is conservatory cooling film keeps out the heat and is not for appearance only.
Conservatory cooling film works on the principle of reflecting the sun's heat away at source.
WHY DON'T ROOF BLINDS WORK SO WELL?
Roof blinds will reduce the glare and darken your conservatory, but the heat still becomes trapped in the space between your roof and the blinds, thus re-radiating the heat back into your conservatory.
WHY DON'T SOLAR INSERTS WORK AS WELL?
Because solar inserts are inside the polycarbonate, they trap all the sun's heat and U.V rays inside the hollows of the polycarbonate. This could lead to the polycarbonate being damaged; warping, turning yellow and brittle, due to excessive heat build up inside the polycarbonate. Therefore why take unnecessary risks.
DOES THIS MEAN MY CONSERVATORY WILL
BE COLD IN THE WINTER?
No, conservatory cooling film is applied to the roof. The winter sun is lower in the sky and shines in through your side panels, allowing your conservatory to warm up naturally.

COOLING FILM AFTER IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED TO MY CONSERVATORY ROOF?
Cleaning is very easy, once a year it can be washed down with mild soapy solution of water or a hose pipe if installed externally.
WHY ARE POLYCARBONATE ROOFS FITTED
ON THE OUTSIDE WITH CONSERVATORY COOLING FILM?
The main reason is due to all the sun's heat and U.V. rays being reflected back into and getting trapped inside the hollow walls of the polycarbonate. This could lead to the polycarbonate being damaged, warping, turning yellow and becoming brittle, so, you would have to replace the whole roof, eventually . By having the conservatory cooling film applied externally, not only will it protect the polycarbonate, but give it a longer life span.
